Here's the Thing About Me... I Give a Damn
I'm Christina, the person behind The Defiant Feminist. I'm a feminist, an activist, and an LGBTQ+ small business owner. I created this space because I give a damn about people, about what's happening in the world, and about the kind of world we're leaving behind.
And I'm not particularly good at pretending everything is fine when it isn't.
I'm tired of watching people be told to stay quiet, make themselves smaller, or accept less than they deserve. I'm tired of the idea that standing up for other people is somehow optional when their rights, identities, or futures are on the line.
So, here we are.
So, what is The Defiant Feminist?
We're here for the rebels, the weirdos, the loudmouths, and everyone who's ever looked around at the world and thought, what the actual fuck are we doing?
We're here for people who believe bodily autonomy isn't negotiable, LGBTQ+ people deserve to live freely and openly, and equality means all of us, not just the people society finds easiest to accept.
We believe feminism should challenge the systems that try to control our bodies, identities, choices, and futures. It should make room for the people who've been pushed aside, talked over, and told they don't belong.
And we believe there's always more to learn. Giving a damn means being willing to listen, question what you've been taught, and grow. None of us gets everything right all the time. What matters is what we do with what we learn.
You deserve to be yourself. Period.
Who you love. How you identify. What you believe. What you do with your own body. None of these things should require you to defend your right to exist.
And yet, people are still being asked to justify their identities, hide parts of themselves, and make other people comfortable at their own expense.
Not here.
I want The Defiant Feminist to be a space where you can show up as yourself. Where being different isn't something you need to apologize for. Where you can figure things out, change, grow, and take up space without asking permission.
Maybe you've spent years trying to fit into a box someone else built for you. Maybe you're still figuring out which parts of yourself you've been taught to hide.
You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to know that you deserve to be here.
I'm More Than the Shit I Sell.
Yes, The Defiant Feminist is a small business. I make shit you can wear, use, gift, and share with the world. Things that express who you are, what you believe, and what you're not willing to pretend you don't see.
But this has never been just about selling stuff.
It's about the conversations we start, the people we stand beside, and the reminder that none of us should have to navigate this world alone. It's about chosen family, queer joy, unapologetic self-expression, uncomfortable truths, wildly ridiculous humor, and finding your people in a world that can feel pretty damn lonely sometimes.
Because the truth is, I'm not just building a brand. I'm part of a community I love deeply. The people who show up here, the folks I've met along the way, the chosen family we've found in each other. You matter to me. What happens to you matters to me.
And that's a big part of why I do this.
Selling shit is how I help fuel the work I care about. It helps me create spaces for people to gather, support my community involvement, and keep showing up for the causes and people that matter to me. This business gives me a way to turn what I believe into something I can actually do.
So yes, there's a shop here. I hope you find something you love.
But I hope you find a little more than that, too. A place where you feel seen, where you can be entirely yourself, and where caring about other people is still something worth giving a damn about.
If you give a damn, you're in the right place.
There's room for you here for your whole, messy, unapologetic self. We're building chosen family, making space for queer joy, asking uncomfortable questions, laughing at the absurdity of it all, and refusing to stop caring about each other.
So stick around. Shop if something speaks to you. Follow along on social media, join the conversation, and come hang out with us.
Come as you are.
Question everything.
Stand up for each other.
Stay defiant.
I'm glad you're here.
